Having gone gold just over a month ago, Zedd‘s hit single “Clarity” has now reached the huge milestone of platinum in the United States, selling over a million copies. With Afrojack‘s “Take Over Control” recently going platinum and Avicii‘s “Wake Me Up” topping worldwide spotify charts at the moment, mainstream sales and chart success is becoming more and more common for dance music artists and shows no sign of stopping. This shows the speed at which the dance music artists can have success selling their records and how this diffusion of dance music into the mainstream has helped record sales.
